I Will Always Love You
This is crazy! Watch this young kid, Lin Yu Chun sing his rendition of Dolly Parton’s, “I Will Always Love You” on the Taiwanese version of “American Idol” called “Super Star Avenue”. I just sat back, listened to the audio and could not believe this kid had that voice!
Turntable.Fm
Turntable.Fm lets users play music for an online audience. Joining the invite only community, allows one to start listening, chatting (with other users) and “awesome-ing” or “lame-ing” songs. There are a variety of different rooms you can join which allow a max of 5 users to be the “DJ” for the room. While each DJ has their turn to play a song, the fans in the room decide whether the track being played is “awesome” or “lame”. Selecting the former, gives the DJ a point but if the track gathers too many “lame” votes, the track is skipped. The best part is that all the songs are available via the website so you have access to thousands of songs, instantly. Having used the site a few times, it is easy to get distracted and spend a couple of music filled hours on there! The Turntable.fm community is also growing rapidly and attracting big name celebrity investors such as Kanye West and Lady Gaga it will be interesting to see and listen where it goes from here!
