Photosynth is a great new app I recently discovered. In simple terms, Photosynth allows you to take a bunch of photos of the same scene or object and automagically stitch them all together into one big interactive 3D viewing experience that you can share with anyone on the web or social media networks. Basically, the app lets you take amazing 360° and panoramic shots.

As you can see below, shots with Photosynth allow for a lot more to be captured from my show this past weekend at the Hard Rock Pool in Vegas.

When most people rent a car, they go online, book the cheapest vehicle listed, and think they found a great deal. But that’s not always the case.

Do you know the best time to book a rental car? It’s on Saturday. That’s because people reserve vehicles and then never show up, leaving the car rental place with a bunch of inventory. Your best bet is to call the place directly to see what inventory is available. Also, where you reserve is often as important as what you reserve. Airport lots are usually more expensive than neighborhood rentals, due to to all the taxes and fees. Hope this helps on your next trip!

It’s never been easier to make music, thanks to all of the apps out there for smartphones! The latest is Propellerhead’s Figure. This app lets you combine drums, bass & lead synth to lay down whatever idea you may have in your head. It is super easy to use and even a newbie with no music experience can create a track within seconds. If you are a bit more advanced, then you will like the fact that the app will let you tweak the sounds a bit. I would recommend Figure to anyone who has ever considered making electronic music. It’s fun and easy to use – perfect for long flights or when you just want to kill some time. The only drawback is that you can’t save your track, but i’m sure they’ll add that feature in an update soon. Overall, this app is worth the $0.99!

“Project Glass” is an augmented reality system developed by Google. It’s pretty much a smartphone with superior voice control and a totally alternative display system that you see by wearing glasses or as they are being called, smartspecs. Looks pretty cool and very useful… Getting lost will be harder with “Glass,” social sharing and sending texts will be easier and faster.

Travel Tip Thursday > World’s Best Airport For Layovers

Hong Kong International is by far one of the best airports when you need to kill time. They’ve already got a 9-hole golf course and are now raising the bar with the addition of the world’s first airport IMAX theater. It’s supposed to open by late June in terminal two. It will seat 358 and be the biggest of the city’s three IMAX venues. Can’t wait to check this out!!

If you like Fruit Ninja then you are going to love Jetpack Joyride! The game stars Barry Steakfries and you navigate him and his jetpack in the game. It’s a pretty simple game but very addicting! Once you start playing you can’t stop.

The point of the game is not only to collect coins but to also pass certain missions.
