APProdisiac Wednesday > Foodspotting
Welcome to the world of Foodspotting! This is a visual guide to good food, and where to find it! Instead of reviewing restaurants, “Foodspotting” makes it simple to recommend dishes by allowing users to upload pictures of the food. If you find yourself hungry in an unknown city, the app will pull up great dishes around you that are recommended by locals. The best part is finding a restaurant you haven’t been to yet and seeing pictures of the food. The app itself is very fast, useful, and fun. You can connect it to your Facebook and Twitter to see what your friends and food experts like the Travel Channel love. A must have app for any foodie!

Jason Markk X Vice – Premium Jet Set Sneaker Cleaner Kit
Today Jason Markk and I released our limited edition Premium Jet Set Sneaker Cleaner Kit. This has been months in the works but it finally has come to life! I couldn’t be any happier with how this collaboration has turned out and I’m confident everyone who is lucky enough to snag one will use this for years to come. The idea was sparked after a conversation Jason and I had about my life on the road and what I was using to keep my kicks clean after a night of spilled drinks, confetti and other stuff that I step on or GET STEPPED ON. We designed the kit around the hardshell DJ needle case that every traveling DJ has in their backpack. The case includes 2oz (carry on friendly) Premium Jason Markk Sneaker Cleaner as well as both Standard & Premium wood cleaning brushes. We have a limited run of only 380 cases and based this number off the larger then life Airbus a380. Each kit is individually numbered and comes complete with instructions illustrated like the cards in the backseat pocket of an airplane seat…usually where I stick my gum once I’m seated. Each kit will retail for $35 USD, and will be available from the Jason Markk online shop, as well as in store at CRSVR Las Vegas and fashion boutiques Colette in Paris & Reed Space in New York.

Travel Tip Thursday > Tour Guides
There are travelers who like to explore cities on their own and those who like to hire tour guides. Tour Guides can be a great way to enhance a trip, but it can be a bit challenging finding someone who is knowledgable and trustworthy in a foreign city. PrivateGuide.com takes care of that for you. This site allows you pick a destination and lets you sort guides and tours by rating and price. The site has an easy to use layout and lets you know details about the tour guide. This is a good resource to use when planning your next trip!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Quick Scan
Todays App is for those who want to shop wiser. With “Quick Scan” you can scan any product barcode and find the lowest online prices as well as product details. For example, lets say you needed a new pair of headphones, you can go to any electronic store, see what’s available, scan the headphones you like and then moments later, Quick Scan would show you where you can get the same headphones at a cheaper rate. This is a great app for all who like to find a good bargain and at 99 cents, the app pretty much pays for itself after your first Quick Scan found purchase!

Travel Tip Thursday > Priority Pass
Todays Travel Tip comes in the form of an App! It seems that almost every flier has a smartphone and “Priority Pass” is something everyone should travel with. This App is great for anyone who is stuck with a long layover as it allows you to peep the airline lounges available at any airport you may be at. You can view all details of 600+ airport lounges like what they have to offer and amenities before you decide if it’s worth it to get a pass to go in. The Priority Pass program has a pay per visit charge but the app is free and anyone can get it to check the lounges out. Try it out on your next trip and let me know what you think!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Photography
If you have an iPhone i’m sure you probably already have Instagram and after having used it for a while you kind of get tired of the filters it comes with. Having said that, here are a couple Apps that are fun to use no matter what your photographic skill level may be.
The first is 100 Cameras in 1. This app comes when 100 different effects that use a mix of hardlight, overlay and much more. Each effect has a cool name that suits the mood of whatever the effect may resemble and you can layer effects as well. It takes some time to go through all of the different effects and is perfect for those long flights. The app itself is very simple and easy to navigate through and can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
Here is an example of an image that was altered with 100 Cameras in 1.

This app can make you love taking photos and editing them right after. There are so many different effects and colors to choose from. One of my favorite things about it is that it adds amazing clarity to your shots with one single tap. There is also a variety of filters you can choose from which can add great character to your shots. Overall, this is a great app and very much worth the $1.99.
Here is a before and after picture of an image that was originally a little dark but with a quick Camera+ edit, was made a bit more clearer and brighter.

Travel Tip Thursday > Complimentary Beer And Wine
Did you know that starting February 1st, American Airlines will be offering beer and wine in the main cabin compliments of the airline? Passengers traveling on American-operated flights between the U.S. and Europe, the U.S. and Asia as well as long-haul flights between the U.S. and Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay, beginning next month, can choose from a variety of complimentary beer and wine options. AA collaborated with classically trained wine consultant Ken Chase to select the beverage choices for the various routes and designed to compliment inflight menus.
