APProdisiac Wednesday > Cross Fingers
Here is another app that is super addicting when you’re waiting at the airport! If you want to think when you have nothing else to do, “Cross Fingers” has you use logic to combine soild pieces in a gigantic tangram puzzle. Check out the game and let me know if you can get beat the whole game before I do!
APProdisiac Wednesday > The Dictator: Wadiyan Games
I had to download “The Dictator” app when I saw it in the App store! The preview for this movie looks hilarious and the game is just as funny! In the game you compete as General Aladeen and compete in his four favorite events – running, swimming, fencing and boxing (with some slight advantages).
And after coming in first in all four events, you can take a photo of yourself along side Aladeen and post the photo on Facebook and Twitter. The game also has some pretty funny commentary while you’re playing.
While the app is free, access to some of the events and the photo option cost 99 cents each. Download the game in the Apple App Store.
APProdisiac Wednesday > Photosynth
Photosynth is a great new app I recently discovered. In simple terms, Photosynth allows you to take a bunch of photos of the same scene or object and automagically stitch them all together into one big interactive 3D viewing experience that you can share with anyone on the web or social media networks. Basically, the app lets you take amazing 360° and panoramic shots.
As you can see below, shots with Photosynth allow for a lot more to be captured from my show this past weekend at the Hard Rock Pool in Vegas.
APProdisiac Wednesday > Figure
It’s never been easier to make music, thanks to all of the apps out there for smartphones! The latest is Propellerhead’s Figure. This app lets you combine drums, bass & lead synth to lay down whatever idea you may have in your head. It is super easy to use and even a newbie with no music experience can create a track within seconds. If you are a bit more advanced, then you will like the fact that the app will let you tweak the sounds a bit. I would recommend Figure to anyone who has ever considered making electronic music. It’s fun and easy to use – perfect for long flights or when you just want to kill some time. The only drawback is that you can’t save your track, but i’m sure they’ll add that feature in an update soon. Overall, this app is worth the $0.99!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Jetpack Joyride
If you like Fruit Ninja then you are going to love Jetpack Joyride! The game stars Barry Steakfries and you navigate him and his jetpack in the game. It’s a pretty simple game but very addicting! Once you start playing you can’t stop.
The point of the game is not only to collect coins but to also pass certain missions.
It’s free for download in the app store. Check it out and let me know if you can beat my score!!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Power 106 FM
As an L.A. Native and someone whose career started on the radio waves, the Power 106 app is a must have for me. The app livestreams music all day long and you can take it with you anywhere! Now you don’t have to miss Big Boys Neighborhood or Felli’s New @ 2 when you’re at work. The app is also convenient when you’re at the gym, giving you an endless supply of music. A nice little feature is that the app tells you which song is playing so you’ll never have to ask yourself “What song is that?!” and it also shows you the last 10 songs played. The app is free and definitely worth a download.
APProdisiac Wednesday > Snapseed
Snapseed is one of my favorite new apps to edit photos with because it lets you put a lot more attention to detail. It puts the power of enhancing your photos at your fingertips! You can use Auto Correct and have the program automatically adjust the photos OR you can be more hands on and tweak the photo to perfection with tools such as Selective Adjustment and the Tilt-Shift effect.
For example here is an original image I decided to edit

While the image doesn’t look bad, there is always room for improvement…
After adding a border, messing around with the Grunge effect and sharpening the details, this is what I came up with
While the app is $4.99, it is definitely worthy of a download if you’re into editing & photography!
APProdisiac Wednesday > WordFoto
We’ve all heard the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words” and that’s exactly what “WordFoto” is. The app lets you turn photos and words into a work of art! Basically you put a picture and some words into the app and the app creates a picture made up of the words you typed in.
Here are a couple examples I made.
There are a bunch of different filters you can use as well.
The app is only $1.99 and definitely worth a try!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Gas Buddy
With gas prices higher and higher everyday, how about an app that helps you find the best price nearest to you? Welcome to the world of “Gas Buddy” this app is pretty simple all you do is enter your zip code and it shows you all of the gas stations nearby and their gas prices. It updates the prices pretty frequently so you are always getting the most up to date price. You’ll never have to overpay for gas again!

APProdisiac Wednesday > News Booth
Welcome to the world of News Booth! It’s one of my favorite new apps that lets you create pretty convincing images that look like they are coming straight off a news show! The app comes with 4 different themes but they will be adding more soon. The coolest part is that you can add your own headlines which can make for some pretty funny pictures. What do you think of the News Booth image from my show last night at Agency?
APProdisiac Wednesday > Krink
I recently hung out in Vegas with a famed street artist named Curtis Kulig. First and foremost the guy is a true testament of doing what you “LOVE”. If you’re not familiar with his work check out his site and also check out the marks he left all over the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas. He’s well known for his “Love” or “LoveMe” tag that he has left all over cities world wide. I was snooping around his art studio and noticed bottles of Krink laying around all over. After jumping back on the app store I came across this app and realized once again the statement “There’s an app for that” is more than true. Take a look at this Krink app and get your inner street artist on! This app allows you to create your own images or write on your photos and share with your friends. It includes a variety of different markers like the K60 and 4oz Mop in a number of different Krink colors. You can also run a “Krinked” drawing through Instagram filters for more effects! Check out the app and share your creations with me!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Foodspotting
Welcome to the world of Foodspotting! This is a visual guide to good food, and where to find it! Instead of reviewing restaurants, “Foodspotting” makes it simple to recommend dishes by allowing users to upload pictures of the food. If you find yourself hungry in an unknown city, the app will pull up great dishes around you that are recommended by locals. The best part is finding a restaurant you haven’t been to yet and seeing pictures of the food. The app itself is very fast, useful, and fun. You can connect it to your Facebook and Twitter to see what your friends and food experts like the Travel Channel love. A must have app for any foodie!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Quick Scan
Todays App is for those who want to shop wiser. With “Quick Scan” you can scan any product barcode and find the lowest online prices as well as product details. For example, lets say you needed a new pair of headphones, you can go to any electronic store, see what’s available, scan the headphones you like and then moments later, Quick Scan would show you where you can get the same headphones at a cheaper rate. This is a great app for all who like to find a good bargain and at 99 cents, the app pretty much pays for itself after your first Quick Scan found purchase!
APProdisiac Wednesday > Photography
If you have an iPhone i’m sure you probably already have Instagram and after having used it for a while you kind of get tired of the filters it comes with. Having said that, here are a couple Apps that are fun to use no matter what your photographic skill level may be.
The first is 100 Cameras in 1. This app comes when 100 different effects that use a mix of hardlight, overlay and much more. Each effect has a cool name that suits the mood of whatever the effect may resemble and you can layer effects as well. It takes some time to go through all of the different effects and is perfect for those long flights. The app itself is very simple and easy to navigate through and can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
Here is an example of an image that was altered with 100 Cameras in 1.

This app can make you love taking photos and editing them right after. There are so many different effects and colors to choose from. One of my favorite things about it is that it adds amazing clarity to your shots with one single tap. There is also a variety of filters you can choose from which can add great character to your shots. Overall, this is a great app and very much worth the $1.99.
Here is a before and after picture of an image that was originally a little dark but with a quick Camera+ edit, was made a bit more clearer and brighter.
APProdisiac Wednesday > Games
Happy Wednesday!
What better way to kill some time than with iPhone games? I’ve got 3 for your today.
The first is “Temple Run” which tests your reflexes as you race down ancient cliffs. You can swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins and buy power ups all while being chased by monkeys. Download app with caution as it is highly addicting!!

Next up is “Cut The Rope” which is a game where you have to cut ropes, catch stars and avoid various obstacles with one mission in mind, to feed the Om Nom creature its candy.
Last we have an arcade classic, “The Simpsons.” It is very similar to the arcade version that was popular in the 90s. You play Homer as he walks through Springfield in pursuit of Doughnuts. It’s a great trip down memory lane and you must check out if you’re a Simpsons fan.
